"Spring Break"

So I didn't really get a Spring Break this year because of rotations, but I still made the best of it. Mike took two days off work and we enjoyed a long weekend together.

We went up to Minnesota to see my sister, two neices, Buster the dog, and Bill. This was the first time I got to see my new neice Madelyn (6 weeks old). She is so beautiful I never wanted to put her down. After I made Mike hold her (he was scared to "break" her) he fell in love too. We had a great time up there relaxing and spending some much needed family time. It was great helping my sister with the kids, but it was a HUGE dose of birth control....hehe. Megan is still in love with Mike... no surprise there. While we were there, my sister hinted at the fact that she wants to put Mike and I (after we get our lives set) as "legal guardians" of Megan and Madelyn in case anything ever happens to her and Bill. I was completely honored!!! (even though it's kind of a morbid thought)

Saturday afternoon, Mike and I took off to the Dells to spend a relaxing fabulous night together to end the weekend. We had a delicious super FATTENING dinner at Houlihans after getting situated in our hotel room. We found out our hotel had a free shuttle to Ho Chunk Casino so of course we had to check it out. It was HUGE! I, of course, lost $60 pretty quickly. I didn't mind the $20 I put into the "Price is Right" slots, since Rod Rodie and PINKO rock, but the $40 I lost in 30 seconds at blackjack....oh I was pissed. Mike kept on winning all night, but he won pretty big (to me anyway) after I left for a bit.....I guess I'm bad luck at the ole casino. I came back to him up to $150 at the "wheel of fortune" slots. I instantly told him to cash out. At the end, he was up $200....that lucky bastard. So I put on the sad face and asked if I could have my $60 back...he gave me the $60 but not without reminding me every 20 seconds how nice he was to do that. haha. OF COURSE IT WAS TOTALLY NICE.....but I wouldn't have had it any other way.

So after that craziness we went back to our room to enjoy our whirlpool suite with Martain Melon bubbles and slept in.

We enjoyed some Denny's Sunday morning before heading back to his homestead. When we got back we had some good times playing a little bit of Mario Carts, took a nap, ate dinner and I headed out to come back to hell (I mean school).

I pulled into the parking lot at school only to see TONS of empty parking spots, which only reminded me that hey all those other bastards are on spring break........grrrr.

Can't wait for my rotation orientation tomorrow all day.....but then Mandi and I are roadtriping to our rotation sites to be sure we can find them on Tuesday. Good times ahead!!!
