Wedding Numero Dos

Sorry this entry is going to be super short compared to the last wedding entry, which can only mean one thing craziness like the last did not occur.

We arrive on the day of the rainy ceremony in Amboy. Only after I honestly had to look on Mapquest where it was since I haven't been to Amboy in about 6 years since I graduated. The church was absolutely beautiful. The groom and groomsmen busted out some new crispy wranglers with a tuxedo jackets, which was way too perfect if you know Lisa and Matthew. I admit it made me chuckle. Lisa looked amazing, with no hints of country hick-ness. The ceremony went smoothly with no tears from Lisa from what I could see. I know I was holding a couple back....I just know I'm going to be a complete wreck at mine, and am always amazed when the bride makes it through it.

Between the ceremony and the reception, Mike and I decided a beer was necessary and met up with Matt at Drifters for a couple. Good times. Then we were off to the reception which was also beautifully decorated. After I figured out that my camera was out of batteries and the ones I did take were super blurry....I was pissed! On top of that for some reason we decided to sit at a table close to my God-father who hit on me a while back at the bars....I felt him starring at me and Mike chuckled and told me everytime he did. He was even hitting on some young blonde girl who I am pretty sure was some relation to him....gross! Shortly after dinner and the dollar dance I starting getting a headache. Mike and I stepped outside for some fresh air hoping that would help...only to find myself getting nauseous from the worsening pain. So Mike took me home and snuggled me while I was bitching all the awhile....what a good boyfriend! I do feel bad for having to leave super early and without saying goodbye...but shit happens I guess. Trust me I was mad since I love receptions...drinks and dancing...always a good time.

On the other front....Mike and I may have found an apartment that would be perfect for us this coming November. He turned in our holding fee and the application last night...so cross your fingers! I can't wait to stop looking and start planning (decorating of course!) He's even allowing hints of pink....man I love him!

Also, I started my hospital rotation this Monday....so far it sucks since it's totally foregin to me and I feel in the way, but day two was more entertaining than day one. Only like 27 more days...hehe. Also it kind of sucks since there's tons of busy work that goes along with the rotation. Well I'll try to keep up better on here and update everyone on the sucky-ness of this rotation.

Absolute Wedding

This last weekend I was in a wedding in the Chicago region…pictures are included after this entry. From beginning to end it was crazy-jazz.

The Rehearsal…
People were late the pastor was creepy. All to end with the pastor only going over things once…asking if there were any questions…never really answered the questions being asked. Not even the organist that come with the church had her questions answered. Then only for him to disappear minutes later. Later we found out that the pastor had a Chicago Bears exhibition game to attend. All I was thinking was “geez sorry the the inconvince of the rehearsal”.

The Rehearsal Dinner…
We show up at a totally cute little Café that Drew’s parents rented for the night. The second we walk in the door we were offered Champaine or Wine? I get myself a glass of wine. Mike’s askes for a beer or pop…there was none to be offered….weird right? Then before we know it ladies with trays of hors d’oeuvers surround us…of course we try a little of this a little of that. Then we start talking to John a guy from Wisconsin. We start talking how we’d love to have a beer….then I remember I know I saw something in the cooler and I thought it was Miller lite. So John goes and investigates…he comes back with a hand full of Miller Lite. They only had a couple is why they weren’t going to serve them. So John told us to drink up there weren’t many….and before long Miller Lite bottles were everywhere and our secret beer was no longer secret. After about an hour of tons of hors d’oeuvers…dinner was served. It was quite elegant….they even went as far to put a pureed basil sauce on my sorbet. It was a little bit too high class for my blood. Then it was on to speeches and gifts. I open my gift only to find real pearl earrings to wear the day of the wedding. I was quite surprised.

We had a great time and then headed home around 9-ish. On our way there I realized that we passed my friend Maria’s house, which was crazy since Mike and I just had a map and weren’t quite sure where we were at! So we called her on our way back to our executive suite at the embassy suites ( so kindly provided by Drew and Olga) and had her meet us there for a few beers and to chat it up it our pimp-a-licious room. It was so great to be able to see her while I was in the area.

The Wedding Day…
We meet at 1:30pm at the church to get our hair done and get Olga ready. We were all having fun getting ready and what not…..only to realize it was 3:00pm and one of bridesmaids, Zoya, was still not there. No worries she freak’n strolls in around 3:15 when the wedding starts at 3:30 with her dress waded up in her hands. I don’t know how Olga was holding herself together….I honestly would have beat her ass. She said no one told her what time to be there so she thought 3:15 was okay. Mine you all of us had a discussed the day before and yes she was there too to be there no later than 2:00. Oh it gets even better…she puts on her Royal Blue dress on with her closed toed Navy Blue high-heels ….when we clearly agreed on silver open-toe shoes. Then I take a closer look when I realized she freak’n altered her own dress which was about 3 inches too short so your could see all of her disgusting shoes…..oh and she must of decided it wasn’t necessary to steam it or iron it…so the fold marks and wrinkles were there in all their glory. Then I realized she wasn’t even freak’n wearing a bra!!!! It was out of control…I swear if it were my wedding I would have beat her ass! Olga took it well and ignored her. The wedding ceremony was beautiful accept for the part where Zoya tried to give the pastor Drew’s ring when it clearly wasn’t time yet and she was wondering after the pastor when he was on the other side getting Olga’s ring. Oh well. Then it was on to pictures. While we were waiting our turn… I see out of the corner of my eye that Zoya is behind the alter on the side posing all seductive gross style for her boyfriend (who was also freak’n nasty) to take her picture. Then on to the Limo ride. It was fun and we all Champainged it up. Only out of no where for Zoya to ask if Olga was returning her dress tomorrow since “don’t you rent them?”…….I couldn’t take it anymore…..I laughed right it her face.

The Reception…
We walk into the most beautiful room with every table full of fabulously arranged hors d’oeuvers…..from boiled duck to a crazy fish with cream cheese coming out it’s eye balls to red caviar to calamarie salad….yea WOW! To top off the tables a big ole bottle of Absolute Vodka was there to accompany the spread…along with an open bar. Hors d’oeuvers lasted 3 hours long which I didn’t eat much since it was kinda too fancy-smancy for my liking….then there was some dancing… finally at 9:30 dinner was served….by this time it was almost too late the drinks were kicking in. Mike let me know at the end of the night they brought to each table plates of different desserts….he said I was going to the tables and eating all the cheesecake all gross style….hahaha. The night got a little blurry. When I awoke the night morning my hair was still glued to my head and my makeup was still on…..and the room was spinning a little.

I’d like to take this time to give McDonalds the breakfast of champions (after drinking) a shout out and special thank you for saving my life on Sunday….the end.

Long Awaited

I'm going to try this one more time. Here's the update...

My family, Mike and I just recently went up to Minnesota for my niece Madeline's baptism. We had a great time, even though the church was only prayer-conditioned....yes that means no A/C on the hottest weekend of the year. My sisters new house is absolutely goureous!!! Mike and I got to have a some-what of a vacation when we were there thanks to my most generous sister. She gave us a free two night stay at a fabulous hilton close to her house...it's a nice change every once in awhile to have someone else make your bed :) Mike and I did try our hand at some casino action ---> no such luck though! I think my favorite part of my weekend was Mike taking me to my most favorite resturant in the world, Highway Harrys. It was so romantic and absolutely perfect...and I found my new favorite wine St. Christina Riesling.

Other news....Mike's home talent baseball team is rock'n it and they took first in their division. This Sunday is their first play off game so I'm super excited and super proud of Mike!

I'm still getting jacked around with my cell phone service. I keep getting outrageous bills of like $400 + no joke for roaming charges. No worry 3 or more phone calls and hours of my precious time it gets taken care of. NEXTEL AND SPRINT SUCK ASS....that is your warning....never ever switch to nextel or sprint! All I have to say is Hello US Cellular and my new pink razor very very soon! :)

My insurance from walmart was also jacked up, but slowly getting taken care of. For some reason my dad's checks for my insurance were going to my mom's insurance and not mine. So that's means they were taking my insurance out of my paycheck and making it look like they were double-dipping. Lucky me, right?

Some fun jazz... Two of Mike's cousins ( 18 and 25-ish white-trash) have recently be-friended Mike's ex-girlfriend and were at the bar a few weeks ago plotting how to break Mike and I up so the ex-girlfriend could get him back. I've never laughed so hard....am I on a soap opra or what? I think a few people need are going to get a big slap in the face from reality. Fuck'n idiots. I've concluded that about 99% of girls that grew up in Edgerton are trash and totally fucked in the head. Theory holds true thus far.

So I'm in my last week of my internship with Walmart. I'm sad knowing this is my last summer as "just an intern" and being with my pharmacy girls. My life's going to be going though some huge changes in just a matter of months. My boss did give me my evaluation yesturday and she managed to slip the word "fabulous" in the written part of my evaluation....it warmed my heart. Then she ended it with saying "there's just not going to be enough pink without you here!!" with a sniffle in her voice. I didn't expect to get a bad eval or anything but it meant a lot to me everything that she said in it.

Mike and I are doing great :) I honestly fall more in love with him everyday. I used to think that line was a bunch of crap...but I'm living it and loving it! I can't wait for winter to get here so then the weekends-only stop. Since I have to work this Saturday -- mind you the only weekend I've had to work all summer so why now I ask?-- oh well I have Sunday and Monday off so Mike made me an appointment at the spa in Janesville with the gift certificate he got me for Christmas for this Monday while he's at work. I'm super exicted since it's a half-day escape of manicare, pedicare, facial and massage....yummy! It's sad we've been so busy that this is honestly the first opportunity to use it.

In the next weeks in August I have two weddings, one of which I'm in, and one in October I'm slowly getting ready for. I'm bombarded with showers and parties. It just sucks that I can't make everyone happy since they are so far apart. So lately I've been doing a wrapping and shopping...both of which I like to say I'm pretty good at...hehe.

Now that I've jumped around and dabbled on 18 different subjects I'm going to get ready for bed and call it a night!

Grrrr...

I honestly wrote a nice long update on my blog and its disappeared...that's what should be under "what's my log-in??" Well I don't have time to re-write it. Just know I realize it's been way too long since I've written because I forgot my log-in information and had to look it up. hehehe

Maybe tomorrow I'll try and re-do the update.

If anything I did mangage to get some pictures up. So Enjoy :)

What's my log-in???
